Kenya: Cable Project Gets Funding

Nairobi — The laying of the Sh15.2 billion East African Submarine Cable (EASSy) entered its final phase after five banks injected Sh4.59 billion into the project.

Construction will now begin in mid-December and is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2009.
