The Administrator of the Southern region, Mr. Mustafa Nurhussein, said that over 100 million Nakfa has been disbursed in the year 2006-2007 in a bid to improve the living standards of nationals in the Tsorona and Senafe sub-zones who were adversely affected by the TPLF regime's war of aggression.

The Administrator made the disclosure in a meeting he held in Adi-Keih with sub-zonal administrators, department heads, ministry branch heads and partners. Mr. Mustafa, along with the participants of the meeting, visited the different water supply projects implemented, micro-dams and water reservoirs, as well as agricultural projects, among others.

He further pointed out that the Government, in collaboration with partners, is working diligently to promote social services. The partners on their part said that the projects implemented were beyond their expectation and added that they would do their level best in assisting the inhabitants of the localities.

In a speech he delivered representing the partners, Mr. Mack Lawed noted that the projects scheduled to be implemented in the aforementioned areas have been effectively undertaken. He further highly appraised the construction of roads and the implementation of potable water supply projects.
