Angola: Cunene - Regional Seminar On Bird Flu Proceeds

Ondjiva — A regional seminar on the bird-flu disease is taking place since Tuesday, in the southern Cunene Province, aimed at providing knowledge in matters of epidemiological vigilance and management of suspected cases relating to the illness, ANGOP has learnt.

Speaking to ANGOP, the Head of the Provincial Department of Public Health of Cunene, Antonio Santana, said the training aims at finding solutions to issues linked to direct clinical and laboratory diagnosis in an opportune time.

The three-day meeting will debate themes such as bird flu, epidemiological situation, concept, treatment, clinical diagnosis, human and birds laboratory.

Summoned for the seminar are directors of hospitals, heads of municipal sections of health, clinical laboratories technicians and veterinaries of the Cunene, Huila, Namibe and Kuando-Kubango provinces.
