Tunis — The Canadian Institute "Frizer" in cooperation with the Foundation for international research, based in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, has recently awarded Tunisia the prize of the best Arab country in consecration of the respect of the supremacy of the Law in the country. Tunisia obtained the prize in consideration for the positive indicators it has demonstrated in the sector of economic freedom as a factor of promotion of nations on the political, economic and social levels.
The prize was handed over to Tunisia during the third annual prize ceremony for economic freedom awards in the Arab world, which was organized on November 2007 in Jordan .
The distinction is given to the country that shows the best levels of transparency and equity in terms of law enforcement destined to protect property rights, as well as and contracts.
Tunisia , is the first Maghrebi country to have obtained such a distinction. Several gulf countries have also received the award in sectors related to monetary policy and freedom of trade.
