Eritrea: Nacfa-Himblko Road Under Renovation At a Cost of 4 Million Nakfa

Nacfa

A 21 km.-long road running from Nacfa to Himblko is under renovation at a cost of about 4 million Nakfa. The task is being undertaking through the coordinated endeavors of the Administration of the Nacfa sub-zone and the RODDAB Construction Company, and that 16 km of the road has so far been renovated.

Indicating that the road, which was constructed in the days of the armed struggle and is characterized with winding and tough terrain, the coordinator of the task, Mr. Nebi Habtom, explained that its width is now being expanded from 4 meters to 7 meters. He added that a 5 km-long canal has been constructed alongside the road so as to safeguard it from excessive floods.

The inhabitants of the localities along the road used to encounter social service problems due to lack of suitable road.
