Angola: Opposition Social Democratic Union to Hold Congress in 2008

Luanda — The leader of the opposition Social Democratic Union (USD) party, Francisco Paulo Ramos, announced Thursday in Luanda the holding, in February 2008, of its 2nd ordinary congress, to elect the supreme organs and participate in the country's polls.

This was announced at the III ordinary meeting of the party's Central Committee, attended by electoral supervisors in Luanda province, aimed at a balance of the activities carried out during the registration process.
