Accra — Zinox Computers, manufacturers of West Africa's first internationally certified branded computers launched the brand in Accra yesterday.
At the launching, Minister for Defense, Albert Kan Dapaah noted that the creation of micro economic environment by government is to attract investors into the country.
Gone were the days, when he interest rates were very high, instability of the cedi and problems surrounding registration of new companies scared investors away.
The Minister noted that Ghana is gradually catching up with the scientific revolution and Information Technology age since it has become a core component in development.
According to him, the influx of Nigerian banks into the country has thrown to local and existing banking institutions to live up to expectation.
Chief Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of Zinox Technologies Limited said the launch is an opportunity to advance the corporate objective of the consuming passion for Zinox computers.
To elevate and keep faith the vision of Pan Africanism, he stressed the need to use the platform created to harness and actualize the collective aspirations of Africans.
He noted that almost 60% of government businesses in Nigeria are ceded into Zinox computers because of its quality and capacity.
Zinox is the only Microsoft authorized OEM partner in West Africa with WHQL certification and the only systems builder in sub Saharan Africa with ISO9001:2000QMS certification and in partnership with the largest Intel Premier Partners in sub region.
