Ghana: The First Battle Ends With Kofi as the Warrior of the Night

Accra — TV3 began its exciting reality show 'The Battle' last Sunday, with all 12 contestants gracing the stage on the first competitive week in the event. As each contestant performed his or her own preferred song, the audience at Studio B could not help but make the noise needed to cheer on fighters in a battle.

Those that made it to the house Faya, Prince, Joe, K.G, Dela, Vic, Kofi, Hakeem, Cee, Isaac, Paa and Erico proved to the audience how ready they were for the long battle ahead on the Tigo sponsored show. The night's performance was not that bad, what was so touching was Hakeem's apologetic performance with a song by Akon. Though the controversial judge Mark Okraku Mantey was quick to remind him of his rude attitude on the night he regretted ever lying about his age, Rama summed it up by saying "it was a smart move".

Isaac's rendition of the song 'Tabitha Kum' did not sink too well with all three judges and mine! Oh mine! The 'showboy' has put on some weight, which appeared to be having a toll on his performance. Dela was not bad at all, bringing back memories of Akosua Agyapong's 'Frema', she undeniably looked stylish and had her notes right but her steps was unpardonable.

The warrior of the night should be given to Kofi, his tribute to the late South African Reggae star; Lucky Dube must have stolen the heart of both the studio audience and those at home. No wonder the judges Mark, Rama Brew, and Dominic Ansah Asare all marked his performance as the best for the night. Creating his own interpretation of Dube's 'It's not easy' Kofi dramatized the assassination of Lucky Dube, as he said a few words of condolence while he (Kofi) laid on stage to dramatized the shooting incident that occurred in South Africa. Your exciting Chronicle's entertainment train will give you a ride to TV3's studio B come Sunday for updates. .
