The second international film festival organized by Linkage Film production, a local film company, opens this afternoon at the Imperial Hotel.

The festival presents the works of 16 local film producers, six documentary and ten feature films, and films from ten African countries. Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Ghana, Namibia are some of them.

According to the organizers, best films will be selected from among those presented at the festival and sent for international contests. Three Ethiopian film productions will be selected to take part in the Cannes Film Festival in France in April, the New York Film Festival in USA in April and the Amukula International Film Festival in Uganda, in May next year.

The panel of judges for the international festival includes representatives from Creative and Master videography schools as well as independent professionals. The festival remains open until the coming Friday.
