Eritrea: President Receives Visiting Group From George Washington University

President Isaias Afwerki today received a visiting group headed by Prof. Jim Scott, Dean of George Washington University.

In the meeting, the President informed the group of the Eritrean Government's vigorous efforts to promote health services as a priority basis. Stating that human resource development is being given close consideration, so as to expand health services in all parts of the country, President Isaias expressed appreciation to the George Washington University's cooperation in this sector.

Prof. Jim Scott noted the significance of the Eritrean Government's program to provide post-graduate courses inside the country.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Mr. Saleh Meki, indicated that the aforementioned university would cooperate in training Eritrean students specializing in pediatrics and surgery.
