Eritrean nationals residing in the Canadian cities of Montreal and Ottawa held public meetings from December 2 to 3, during which they expressed their readiness to stand alongside the people and Government of Eritrea.

The meetings are in continuation of the similar ones conducted inside the country and abroad. The Eritrean Ambassador to Canada, Mr. Ahferom Berhane, gave extensive briefings on the objective situation in the Homeland and the acts of conspiracy and hostility being waged by enemies. The Ambassador called on Eritrean citizens to strengthen their resistance through reinforcing national unity.

Condemning the obstacles the TPLF regime is posing in the region with the assistance and collaboration of the US Administration, the participants of the meetings in the two Canadian cities set up a resistance committee so as to effectively carry out their activities in an organized manner.

Meanwhile, in expression of their support to the people and the Government, Eritrean nationals in Ottawa contributed 19,000 Canadian dollars.
