A number of world-class DJs were convinced to perform live for Mauritians in less than a year.

Regrettably enough some fake admission tickets were identified at the access gate of Global DJ and Bodyrox concert last Saturday. Bearers pretended they got them from friends whose names and addresses they claimed to ignore. The directors of Greendot Ltd, the company orga nising the venue, are disgusted with this utterly scornful fraudulent practice. "How could some people dare harvest from fields, which have been painfully cultivated by others!" exclaims Marie Eve Chavrimootoo, one of the directors of this young events company.

In less than a year, Greendot has been able to convince four world-class DJs to perform live for Mauritians and, unbelievably enough, the icing on the cake has come earlier than expected. In fact, between his tours in Denver, Minsk, Helsinki and Los Angeles, Tiesto, the world best DJ, will be performing live at Anjalay Stadium on 15th December next.

"Imagine the multi dimensional resources needed to convince such an artist to come to our island; would it not be criminal for all parties if such venues were aborted in the future by sickly, dishonest people", adds Mrs Chavrimootoo who is confident though that the authorities will do the needful to protect the interests of daring entrepreneurs.

In any case Greendot strongly advises Tiesto fans to get their tickets from recognised points of sales as measures have been taken to undo any deceitful deeds for this exclusive concert. Marie Eve Chavrimootoo who has always felt concerned with the detrimental effects of piracy on local artists is now more than ever convinced that such dishonest practices should be eradicated from our soil.

"If we kill entertainment providers in a country, which is so wanting in leisure outlets, we will be the first to bear the consequence. Then we might have to be content with watching artists like Tiesto on TV or else book a flight ticket and a foolproof concert ticket in euros or dollars." The doomsday of entertainment industry will only remain a farfetched nightmare, if we all act responsibly. Therefore let's buy the original, the one, which tallies with the artists' and their promoters' efforts and talents.
