WE have had visual artists from Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania and other countries exhibit their work in Uganda, but we have not had many from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Yet we have known some phenomenal Congolese painters such as the late Vincent Massudy whose work left a lasting impression.

Today, Uganda is welcoming another Congolese artist. Hailing from Bukavu, Khalif Kalala Tshibambe will showcase his work at his studio in Kansanga tomorrow. In this exhibition, Khalif unveils his fascinating work under the theme "Soul Connected".

Inspired by Ugandan roots, reflected in the colours of his canvass, he continues his soul journeys.

He believes that what one associates with his art relates to one's imagination, than perceiving what he made out at the moment of its unfolding.
