Luanda — The lieutenant-general Dieudonné Kayembe, from the Democratic Republic of Congo (RDC), said Monday in Luanda that his country intends to expand the military co-operation with Angola, in all the branches.
Speaking briefly to the press, at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Dieudonné Kayembe, who will carry out a five-day visit to Angola, said that his country's mentioned intention will be manifested during the meetings he will have with the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) Chief of Staff, gen. Francisco Furtado.
The Congolese army official, who is leading a delegation from his country, will also visit the Navy Headquarters and travel to the southern Huila Province, where he is to be informed about the functioning of the Fifth Military Region.
Among other aspects, his agenda includes an audience with the Defence minister, Kundi Paihama.
Angola has been co-operating with the DRC in training that country's military and helping in its armed forces organisation.
