Lagos — Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, yesterday lamented continued violations of human rights after eight years of democratic rule, alleging that Nigeria has continued to witness the mockery of the rule of law and elevation of bullies above the application of the law.
Soyinka made this remark at an event marking the 2007 World Human Rights Day in Lagos, organised by the Campaign for Democracy (CD).
