The National Union of Eritrean Youths and Students (NUEYS) branch in Egypt held its 7th regular meeting in Cairo.

The meeting aimed at assessing and strengthening the Union's activities, as well as enhancing the participation of Eritrean students residing in Cairo.

Member of the NUEYS Executive Committee, Ibrahim Hassen, gave briefings to participants of the meeting on the constitution, objectives, programs of the Union and the role of youth in preserving national values.

Moreover, NUEYS members in Cairo held discussions with the Eritrean Ambassador to Egypt and members of the Embassy on ways of promoting work relations and contacts, according to reports.

The participants elected a 7-member Executive Committee and adopted resolutions and recommendations, including the need to organize Eritrean students in Cairo, exert utmost efforts to enable youth to preserve national values and work closely with national associations on issues pertinent to the youth.
