Kampala — DYNAMIC pan African television company GTV is to air the Cecafa Challenge Cup highlights immediately after the crunch Barclays Premier League match between Chelsea and Arsenal on Sunday.
The game at the Emirates Stadium begins at 7 p.m. local time , but Chelsea will be without Ivorian international Didier Drogba, who is their most prolific marksman.
The General Manager of GTV Uganda Daniel Kagwe says the Cecafa package is part of their season of giving.
"All the crucial matches of the Barclays Premier League season are only available on GTV and this Sunday's show-down between Arsenal and Chelsea is unmissable. Plus with the Cecafa Cup highlights show that follows, it's the perfect weekend for football fans and a great way to get ready for all the knockout round action next week. With our Christmas discount, this week is the best time to join the GTV revolution," he said.
Arsenal and Chelsea's last crucial meeting was the Carling Cup Final 2007 in February - the first all-London final in the competition's history. Chelsea won 2-1 and the Londoners will be keen to remain in the title race.
GTV was started by Julian McIntyre six months ago. It has a licence to broadcast Premier League matches in 44 African countries.
