The Artistic Training National Institute (INFA) will organise on 13-16 December, in Luanda, an academic event that includes lectures, plastic arts exhibitions, dance, theatre and music shows, as part of the institution's 2007 school-term closure programme.

According to a press note from INFA, the event aims at showing the quality of artistic training in Angola, as well as highlight the importance of the country's various artistic manifestations.

With this project, it is also intended a maximisation of the academic knowledge and its importance for the study and systematic organisation of the Angolan people's cultural manifestations reflected on the folklore, craftworks, oral tradition, customs and practices of the various ethnic groups of Angola.

The event will also serve as an instrument to sensitise the public and private economic sectors, on the need to support the art schools.
