Luanda — The speaker of the Portuguese Republic Assembly, Jaime Gama, arrived Saturday morning in Luanda, for a five days working visit to Angola.
Jaime Gama was welcomed On arrival at Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, by his Angolan counterpart, Roberto de Almeida, by the ambassador of Portugal to Angola, Francisco Maria de Sousa Ribeiro Telles, and other figures.
Speaking to journalists, the Portuguese top parliamentarian said his coming to Angola aims essentially at the reinforcement of cooperation between the two parliaments.
Jaime Gama is in Angola for the second time this year, after his visit of April, to attend the 5th Portuguese Language Parliamentary Forum that took place in Luanda.
The forum, at which Angola took up the presidency of the organ, in replacement of Brazil, analysed a proposal on the creation of a Portuguese Speaking Parliamentary Assembly, as an organ comprising the Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP), aiming at a major highlight for the community at the level of international relations and of several world arenas.
The delegation of Jaime Game includes MPs with the Angola/Portugal parliamentary friendship group.
