The Federal Ethics And Anti Corruption Commission on Monday arrested four officials of the Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation (ETC). One of them was arrested at the airport.

The commission arrested the officials it suspected of corruption based on its evaluation of the corporation's operation.

The officials arrested on were Abebe Gashaw, who was the corporation's deputy manager, Berhanu Asfaw, Abayneh Ababe and Kebede Gebreselasie.

The Anti-Corruption Commission is preparing to arrest eight more officials of ETC, it was learnt. Berhanu Asefa, public relations officer of the commission, declined to give explanation on the matter as it was still in process.
