17 December 2007

Keren — In line with the Government's efforts to promote social services in remote areas, the inhabitants of the Kerkebet sub-zone got access to potable water supply.

Reports indicated that the inhabitants of the locality used to encounter acute shortages of potable water supply due to the aridity of the area. At present, potable water supply projects have been implemented in 8 out of the 10 administrative areas of the sub-zone.

Accordingly, the villages of Amleyet, Adi-Seidna, Hamshidba, Himbol, Adi-Sembra, Lekoyeb, Diraf, Filkit and Mekit now have access to potable water thanks to the endeavors exerted by the Anseba Regional Administration in collaboration with partners.
