Uganda: Eletromaxx Resolves Thermal Power Deal

Kampala — ELECTRO Maxx (U) Ltd, a power supply company, which bid for supply of thermal electricity in Uganda, has amicably resolved a case it filed against Electricity Regulation Authority.

Electro Maxx (U) Ltd filed an appeal case against ERA seeking for cancellation of the power licence it awarded to the successful bidder, Jacobsen. Electro Maxx through its lawyer, Mr Megallan Kazibwe, filed a consent judgment at the Commercial Court withdrawing the case on grounds that the two parties had reached an agreement to resolve the matter amicably.
