Uganda: UWAL's Was a Show With a Difference

Kampala — WHAT do women get up to when they meet to award outstanding business achievers? You would expect them to get all serious reading reports with fists raised in the air to prove a point, perhaps. But you are wrong. There are certain things that most women love and some of these are fashion, clothes, shopping and caring for others.

And so when Uganda Women Entrepreneurs Association Limited (UWEAL) met at Arirang Restaurant for their business achievers dinner, fashion was high on the agenda. A fashion show of Stella Atal's designs was one of the highlights of this prestigious event. But this was a different show because members of UWEAL did the modelling themselves. This meant a realistic portrayal of women in all shapes and sizes. After all, there will never be one size or shape to define womankind.
