Johannesburg — TRAINER Charles Laird, who won Sunday's Midmar Premier's Trophy with Pick Six, might boycott the prestigious L'Ormarins Queen's Plate because of his horses' shocking draws.
Incredibly, the three Laird horses entered for the December 29 race at Kenilworth -- first leg of the South African Golden Mile Series -- all drew wide barriers. Of the 23 entries, Pick Six drew 23, Rebel King 21 and Durban July winner Hunting Tower 20.
