Eritrea: Nationals Residing in Italy Hold Public Meeting

Eritrean nationals residing in different Italian cities conducted public meetings, during which they reiterated readiness to meet any eventuality.

In the meeting held in the cities of Rome, Firenze, Tieramo, Bari, Napoli, Katania and Palierma, the Eritrean Ambassador to Italy, Mr. Zemede Tekle, the head of community and social affairs in the Embassy, Ms. Semainesh Kiros, and other heads gave briefings on the prevailing political and economic situation in the Homeland and the region.

The participants expressed readiness to steadfastly meet any eventuality through standing alongside their people and government.

Meanwhile, over 50 Eritrean youths from different Italian cities held a meeting of heads of executive committees of the youth union in Italy, during which they assessed activities and mapped out future action program.

In expression for their support to the people and Government of Eritrea, the citizens contributed 1,000 Euro, according to reports.
