Namibia: Exam Results Tomorrow

Windhoek — AROUND 31 000 full-time and 15 000 part-time Grade 10 pupils will receive their exam results tomorrow.

The Ministry of Education announced that the results of 3 000 others who wrote the Higher International General Certificate of Secondary Education (HIGCSE) for Grade 12 will also be announced.

Last year pupils had to score 23 points or more and a minimum of an F grade in English to proceed to Grade 11 but a staggering 17 158 full-time Grade 10 pupils failed to progress - only 14 335 managed to score the required marks.

The Directorate of National Examinations and Assessment said pupils can get their results by sending an SMS or visiting the website (www.dnea.ov.na).

For the Grade 10 results they can SMS to 2929 with the text "jsc space surname space name".

They can also just SMS jsc and their exam number to 2929.

The HIGCSE candidates can SMS "nssch space surname space name to 2929".

The results will also be published in tomorrow's The Namibian.
