The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Woldemichael Abraha, conducted a working visit to the Gash-Barka region to observe transport infrastructure and bus terminals that have already been constructed and are in the process of construction.

Mr. Woldemichael pointed out that inline with the Government's efforts to provide speedy and efficient transport services in different parts of the country, encouraging achievements have been registered. Indicating that there exist bus terminals in a number of sub-zones, he said that similar facilities would be constructed in the remaining sub-zones.

The Minister further noted that members of the public, be it in towns or remote areas, have now access to reliable and efficient transport service thanks to the Government's big investment in the construction of transportation infrastructure, particularly the construction of big and small bridges.

Expressing conviction that the on-going implementations of communication projects and transport infrastructure in the region would give additional impetus to transport services, Mr. Woldemichael called on the people to make due contribution and good use of facilities thus provided.
