An arts exhibition portraying Eritrean customs and traditions, natural resources and the diverse art deco potentials, as well as books and newspapers in different languages, has opened in Nievier city, France, and is gaining admiration from visitors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, in which different French government officials, including the Mayor of the city, Senator Didia Polo, friends of Eritrea and invited guests took part, the Eritrean Ambassador to France, Dr. Ahmed Hassan Dahli, stated that the exhibition would play a significant role in strengthening relations between the people of Eritrea and France.

Expressing support to Eritrea's stance as regards the Eritrea-Ethiopia border issue, Senator Didia Polo expressed conviction that the issue would eventually be resolved in accordance with the final and binding EEBC ruling on the basis of the Algiers Agreement.

The deputy mayor of the city, Mr. Alen Frimon, said that Eritrea is a country endowed with rich history and determined people and expressed his wish to foster relations and cooperation between Asmara and Nievier.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Franco-Eritrean Friendship Association in the French Parliament, Ms. Martin Carion, met with Ambassador Dahli on the occasion, during which she assured him of exerting the necessary efforts to shed light on the Eritrean stance in parliament.
