Rahaita

A 37 km-long road along the Assab-Rahaita route, which was proving difficult for transport service, has now been renovated by the Gedem Construction Company.

The coordinator of the project, Mr. Haile Gebrehans, said that the road is now safe for transportation. The inhabitants of Harsile, Gahro, Abo and Rahaita used to encounter social service problems due to lack of efficient road, according to reports.

It is to be noted that the Assab-Rahita road, on top of its effective service to the inhabitants of the area, plays a significant role in promoting economic and social ties between the peoples of Eritrea and Djibouti.
