25 December 2007

Asmara — Eritrean nationals residing in Djibouti reiterated their readiness to steadfastly meet any eventuality through keeping intact national unity.

In the public meeting held recently, the Eritrean Ambassador to Djibouti, Mr. Mohammed Seid Mentai, gave briefing to the participants on the objective situation in the Homeland and the challenges overcome and those that lie ahead.

Expressing their commitment to rebuff any anti-Eritrea conspiracy, the participants underlined that the vigorous efforts being exerted by the people and Government of Eritrea to achieve food security would provide additional impetus to the resistance and in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty.

They also adopted resolutions and recommendations, including that of boosting their contribution in support of families of martyrs and strengthening the activities of the community in 2008, among others.
