Eritrea: Community in Lebanon Reiterates Readiness to Live Up to Nation's Expectation

In a public meeting they held on December 23, members of the Eritrean Community in Lebanon reiterated their readiness to meet any eventuality through reinforcing national unity.

Stating that the firm unity and steadfastness of the Eritrean people constitute its potent weapons, the participants reaffirmed their determination to live up to the nation's expectations.

The Eritrean Consul General in Lebanon, Mr. Humed Yahya Hali, gave briefings to the participants of the meeting on the objective situation in the Homeland and the region. He underlined that the programs so far implemented through the Warsay-Yikaalo Development Campaign aimed at achieving food security are showing tangible improvements in the people's standard of living.

Meanwhile, Eritrean youth residing in the Dutch cities of Rotterdam and Amsterdam, who are members of the PFDJ, organized different programs in connection with Christmas and New Years, during which they wished the entire Eritrean people peace and prosperity. A briefing on the significance of the activities the Eritrean youth in Holland have carried out was also given on the occasion.
