Johannesburg — THE South African Police Service (Saps) is working to strengthen its diplomatic policing unit after the outgoing Tanzanian high commissioner was assaulted at his farewell party in Pretoria on Friday.
Although foreign states had their own security arrangements, the police would increase the number of officers patrolling embassies and diplomatic residences, said police spokes-man Dennis Adriao.
