Eritrea: Heads of National Construction Companies Complete Training Course At Institutional Competence Center

Fourteen heads of national construction companies recently graduated from the Eritrean Institutional Competence Center in Embatkala upon completion of a 2-month training course in management and institutional development.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Beyene Haile, director of the Center, explained that the course was aimed at enhancing the competence of managers of national construction companies.

The representative of the trainees and head of the Mereb Construction Company, Mr. Haile Mesfun, said that the training would contribute in upgrading their skills and reinforce the work of national construction companies.

After handing out certificates to the trainees, the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Abraha Asfaha, said that the Center is playing a significant role in upgrading the competence of national construction companies.

Also speaking on the occasion, the head of Segen Construction Company, Mr. Tesfai Goitom, indicated that the training would enable the trainees in effectively fulfilling their duties. He added that 2008 would witness greater development of infrastructure works.
