In line with the efforts being made to step up national development, the infrastructure department of the Anseba region, in collaboration with partners, has constructed a number of road networks, as well as education and health facilities in 2007 at an expenditure of 5.3 million Nakfa.

Accordingly, the Hadish Adi-Deki Andu and the Hadish Adi-Dembe Habtestien roads have been constructed, in addition to the building of a secondary school in Aretai, Habero sub-zone. Moreover, a new health center has been constructed in Shakat, while other similar facilities were renovated in Adi-Tekelezan and Aretai.

Over 12.4 million Nakfa has been disbursed for constructing market facilities, youth centers and bus terminals in Geleb, Elaberead, Melebso and Adi-Tekelezan, according to reports. There are also plans to construct 7 roads and repair the existing ones, as well as implement the construction of market centers in different sub-zones of the region this year.
