Luanda — The Culture Ministry this Friday will award Diplomas of Merit and Honour to several entities, whose contribution has been outstanding in preserving, promoting and helping to develop the Angolan culture.
ANGOP has learnt that the ceremony that is to take place in Hotel Alvalade, in Luanda, will be chaired by Culture minister Boaventura Cardoso.
According to a note from the National Department for Cultural Action, some of the selected entities are the writers Dario de Melo and Cremilda de Lima, the musicians Dog Murras, Kafala Brothers, Dina Santos, Alice Berenguel, as well as the Celamar Gallery and the Kilamba Cultural and Recreational Centre.
This award act is part of the commemorations of the National Culture Day, marked on 08 January.
