The robbers who during operations, wear military uniforms, depending on where their target lies, are said to be the dare-devil group that have been terrorizing Jos, Bauchi and Gombe States and banks and other financial institutions are parts of the places they have robbed.

Among the armada of weapons recovered from the robbers which Vanguard was privileged to see were about 12 AK 47 rifles, police weapons, Pump action guns and two boxes loaded with various types of ammunition and some charms.

Vanguard gathered that the Inspector-General of Police, Mike Okiro who was furious on hearing of the involvement of the SP and other policemen at the Police College, directed that they be brought to Abuja immediately.

On their arrival at the force headquarters, Abuja, scores of policemen and officers who were present at the Police College, Jos, went to see the officers and expressed disappointment that they (police officers) entrusted with the arms meant to fight criminals are the ones giving the robbers the arms to kill innocent citizens including policemen like themselves.

Only four members of the gang have been arrested so far and two of them were dressed in Army uniform when brought to Abuja Wednesday evening.

The police are still hunting for other members of the gang said to be on the run.
