Kampala — A stench of sewage fills the air but people in and around this area seem not to be bothered by the unpleasant smell from the nearby swamp, filled with thick dark oily water.
Some men can be seen washing trucks and motorcycles. Others are using the water to bathe. The water flows from the railway side in Kireka, towards the Rapid Response Unit barracks in Kinawataka via a sugar plantation and a garden of yams.
