Eritrea: Nationals in Germany Pledge to Make Financial Contribution for the Success of Nation's Integrated Drive for Liberation, Development And Prosperity

Asmara — Eritrean nationals living in Germany have agreed to make financial contributions towards ensuring the success of the nation's integrated drive for liberation, development and prosperity.

In a meeting that took place in Osborne city, which was attended by Eritrean communities all over Germany, the participants decided that those who are employed should contribute 300 Euro each, the unemployed 150 Euro each and every Eritrean student 50 Euro.

Mr. Hagos Gebrehiwet, Head of Economic Affairs at the PFDJ, gave briefings to the participants on the objective situation in the Homeland, as well as development programs mapped out for 2008.

Reports also indicated that Eritrean intellectuals presented different study papers at the meeting. Commending the Eritrean government's endeavors to promote peace in the Horn of Africa, the participants of the meeting reaffirmed their readiness to live up to the nation's expectations.
