Nairobi — The Party of National Unity has called for investigation to establish whether crimes against humanity have been committed in the post-election violence.
At the same time, PNU says ODM's call for mass action is aimed at attracting sympathy and attention of the international community and donors for political expediency.
Fifteen PNU MPs, among them three assistant ministers, hit out at ODM leaders, accusing them of being insensitive.
Energy Assistant minister, Mr Mwangi Kiunjuri, who read the statement at Parliament Buildings on Thursday, said Kenyans were yearning for good environment to earn a living.
Kiunjuri said PNU won the elections and the subsequent coalition with ODM-Kenya, which has now constituted Government, had the wishes of the majority.
He said after visiting the worst hit areas in the Rift Valley, they were disturbed by the magnitude of displacement of people and the wanton destruction of property.
Kiunjuri said the actions were organised, adding that if crimes against humanity had been committed, those responsible should be held accountable.
