The National Elections Commission (NEC) will today formally launch its voter education campaign for Margibi District #4 by-elections in Unification Town on Robertsfield Highway.

According to a release, NEC said it would be embarking on a 25-day intensive district-wide voter education campaign in the district to encourage 25,450 registered voters to turn out to elect their new representative in the by-elections on February 12, 2008.

The release noted that during tomorrow's program, a parade, cultural performances and an in-door town hall forum would be held.

The launching ceremony will also be characterized by the dissemination of elections education messages and the distribution of posters to voters. Meanwhile, the NEC will on Saturday officially dedicate its newly constructed office in Tappita, Nimba County.

The NEC Tappita office was built by funding provided by the government of Liberia for the Nimba County District # 6 by-elections held in February last year.
