Eritrea: President Holds Talks With Djiboutian Health Minister

President Isaias Afwerki today received and held talks in the port city of Massawa with a Djiboutian delegation headed by the Minister of Health, Mr. Abdallah Abdillahi Miguil.

In the meeting, the Minister delivered a message from President Ismael Omar Guelle of Djibouti to President Isaias.

President Isaias underlined the need to speed up the implementation of previously concluded joint cooperation agreements, in addition to further strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Abdallah Abdillahi Miguil said on his part that he would strive to further enhance Eritrean-Djiboutian relations. Also yesterday, he held discussions with Foreign Minister Osman Saleh on bilateral and regional issues. Furthermore, the Djiboutian officials also received briefings from Health Minister Saleh Meki on Eritrea's achievements in the health sector and in developing human resource capacity.

In the course of his stay, Mr. Abdallah Abdillahi Miguil visited the Orotta National Referral Hospital and the regional referral hospital in Ginda, as well as the Sembel Hospital, during which he expressed admiration for Eritrea's endeavors to promote health services across the nation.
