Kenya: Rotary Donates to Refugees

UGANDA Rotarians have donated relief items worth Shs6 million to Kenyan refugees. The relief items included food and assorted medical drugs.

Mr Chris Mutalya, the chairman of District 9200 while handing over the items to the victims of the post election violence camped at St Jude Primary School- Malaba on Thursday said he was saddened with what was happenings in Kenya.

"We know at such a time of the year you should be in your homes still rejoicing the extension of the festive season but because of unavoidable political circumstances you are bracing the cold,"Mr Mutalya said.

He said in the past elections have been peaceful in Kenya.

He said Rotarians had come to help and assess the type of assistance that could be given in the future as the influx of the refugees increases. " We need to give help to our brothere sand sisters from Kenya." Mr Mutalya said.
