Ondjiva — A team of parliamentarians with the second, fifth and sixth commissions of the National Assembly is expected this Monday in Ondjiva, southern Cunene Province, for a five-day work visit, aimed at checking the local execution of the government's general programme for the 2007/2008 biennium.
According to a note from the Nucleus of Support to the National Assembly, the parliamentarians will check the implementation of the 2007 State's General Budget, analyse the report on the electoral registration in this province, as well as some of the main local regulations.
The MPs will have separate work meetings with the provincial boards of education, culture, science and technology, youth and sports, as well as with the members of the Cunene Military Command Zone and the Police Command.
They will also gather with the directors of the local offices for studies, planning and finances of the Customs Service, the Board of Commerce, Hotels and Tourism and Public Works.
Several other work activities are on the visiting agenda of the parliamentarians.
