The religious holiday of Epiphany (Timket) was colorfully celebrated nationwide yesterday.

In the celebrations held in Asmara, in which thousands of followers of the Christian faith took part, different religious songs were presented by choirs from different churches.

Megabe Misteer Mebrahtu Mobae preached in regards to the historical development of the religious event and called on the public to demonstrate mutual cooperation and respect in all of their social activities.

A number of government officials, including the Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Tewolde Kelati, took part in the celebrations.
