Eritrea: Ministry Disburses Over 33 Million Nakfa in Benefit Scheme

The branch office of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in the Northern Red Sea region has disbursed over 33 million Nakfa in benefit schemes to families of martyrs and in support of needy nationals and disabled individuals.

Accordingly, over 14 million Nakfa has been paid towards benefit schemes to families of fallen heroes and about 11 million Nakfa has been extended to disabled citizens in interest-free loans. Moreover, financial assistance has been extended to more than 2,000 needy citizens in the sub-zones of Afabet, Ginda and She'ib.

Vocational training has also been offered to about 420 street children, as part of efforts to enable them to become self-supporting and productive, according to reports.
