Kampala — Osita Iheme and Chinedu Ikedieze are household names in comedy, having made a mark in famous Nollywood movies dubbed ebinaigeria.

Their Ugandan fans now have chance to meet them in person. The two miniature Nigerian actors on Wednesday jetted into Entebbe aboard an Ethiopian Airlines plane and headed straight for Kampala.

Besides entertaining their fans, they will also offer donations to disadvantaged children.

At Entebbe airport, the actors received a tumultuous welcome from their fans, who blocked the silver Mercedes Benz that chauffeured them. They were also escorted by outrider bikes.

Chinedu is a graduate of Mass Communication from the Institute of Management Technology in Enugu state, while Osita is a second-year student of Mass Communication at Enugu State University.

Although they have excelled in comedy, these talented actors now say they crave for more challenging roles, noting that mischief is not the only thing they are up to.

They were received at the Nigerian High Commission in Kololo by the acting Nigerian high commissioner, Baker Abubaker.

They later addressed journalists at Imperial Royale Hotel, where enthusiastic journalists asked them about their lives.

On the question of their ages, they insisted that they were above 18 and below 35, before cautioning journalists against asking the question again.

Whether they were married, they told journalists: "We have fiancés and hope that one time by God's grace, we shall marry."

They will hold their first show, for VIP's, today at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala at sh50,000.

On Sunday, they will be at Nakivubo Stadium where the entrance fee will be sh5,000, before proceeding to Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.

They will perform alongside the Amarula Family, Bobi Wine, Cute Kaye, Faridah Ndausi, Silver Kyagulanyi and Bob Ijike.

"We are giving Ugandans an opportunity to see them live on stage with a lot of comedy, accompanied by lots of music," said Emanuel Onouh, the director of Paragon, the company that arranged their tour.

The two comedians yesterday visited Mild May Jajja's Home on Entebbe Road.
