Tripoli — President Isaias Afwerki is attending the African Heads of State Discussion Meeting that officially opened in Libya today. The meeting that will discuss issues pertaining to diverse African affairs is also attended by the Heads of State of Libya, Egypt, Gabon, Sudan, Chad, Senegal and Mauritania.
Moreover, reports from the place indicated that President Isaias Afwerki held bilateral talks with the Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi in the morning hours today.
President Isaias Afwerki left for Libya yesterday evening and upon arrival in the country, he was accorded a warm welcome by high Libyan government officials.
