The confederation of African Football (CAF) has warned Ivory Coast and Mali not to play an accord game in their last group encounter which comes up at Accra tomorrow.

While Mali and the Elephants will be slugging it out in Accra, Nigeria will in their last game face Republic of Benin in Sekondi.

A victory for Nigeria could see the Eagles scrapping through to the last eight. And that will depend on what happens in Accra in the game between Mali and Cote d'Ivoire.

Victory for the Ivorians will see Nigeria through, while a draw will see the Malians dashing Eagles' qualification hope.

A top CAF official told Sports Champion that they will keep a close tab on the camp of both Mali and Cote d'Ivoire.

"We are going to keep a close tab on all the countries in the group. Anything can still happen in the group and we won't allow anything that will bring the game to disrepute," the CAF official who doesn't want his name in print said.

Sports Champion further gathered that the African soccer governing body is already investigating the claim by Beninoise coach that he was approached by a Malian official before their game which Mali won by a lone goal.

CAF has already ordered the coach to furnish it with details of how his opponents wanted to win by foul means.
