President Isaias Afwerki returned home today after attending the Consultative Meeting of African Heads of State that was held yesterday in Libya.

The President told ERINA that the meeting, in which leaders of 8 African countries and representatives of different governments took part, focused on issues concerning the African Union and the prevailing disagreement between the Sudan and Chad.

The leaders of Eritrea, Libya, Egypt, Gabon, Sudan, Chad, Senegal and Mauritania attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, President Isaias Afwerki and the Libyan leader, Muamer Al-Khadafi, held talks yesterday on bilateral and regional issues. It is to be recalled that President Isaias left for Libya on Saturday.
