Youthful Patrick Ochan and Jimmy Okello are enjoying early success in South Australia, six months after defecting from the victorious Uganda cricket camp that won the Division III ICC World Cricket League.

Ochan and Okello, who play grade cricket with impressive Adelaide side West Torrens have shared a training session with Australia's world conquering cricket team.

"It was a great honour for us to play with the big guys who have just beaten India 2-1 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy test series," a jovial Ochan revealed to Daily Monitor.

The two recently told Australian media that they didn't want immigration officers to send them back home because they harbour dreams of wearing Australia's Baggy Green jersey.

"It was a good feeling. We bowled to the new opener (Phil Jaques) and skipper Ricky Ponting. And we also talked a lot to Shaun Tait and all the others with the exception of Brett Lee and Andrew Symonds.

These are guys so talented and do hit the ball big," added Okello. The Uganda Cricket Association imposed a life ban on the pair in November, last year after the players made it clear they were not about to return to Uganda.
